Living Like a Princess...

Not Really! So last night Christine and I stayed the night in a castle, a hostel castle. Since it was a 14 century castle renovated into a hostel it was not a very nice hostel but it was neat to think we stayed in a castle. The stairwell was a very small, skinny spiral and it was difficult walking up and down, especially with our luggage. We stayed on the top floor with lots of girls from our group.

We got their late at night and we're getting ready for bed when a girl walked in unlocking a random door behind our bed, which Christine had earlier made us move our bed away from because she was creeped out by it. So we started talking to the girl and she was traveling by herself around the world, she was one of the most fascinating people I know. She told us how the door led to the roof of the castle where a secret room was. Another girl came in who was the granddaughter of the owner of the castle, she was from Dublin and told us scary stories of ghosts that have been seen and heard in the castle even by the ghost hunters. The two of them took a group of us on the roof, which was the highlight of the time at the castle. Even though getting ready and sleeping wasn't that pleasant at the castle, I guess in the 14 century it wasn't any different.

Wow that sounds sort of awesome and sort of creepy. Great thing to be able to say you stayed in a castle!
